Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel. India’s capital offers a compelling mix of old and new, where Mughal architecture, colonial history and modern city life intersect. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore nearby markets or simply relax after your journey. This day is intentionally unhurried, allowing you to settle in before the immersive experiences ahead. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 Delhi Heritage & Crafts

Begin your exploration with Delhi’s key cultural landmarks before visiting the renowned Crafts Museum. Here, you will gain insight into India’s diverse textile traditions, from regional weaving styles to embroidery and dyeing techniques. The museum provides an essential foundation, helping you understand the cultural and historical context behind the crafts you will encounter throughout the journey.
Day 3 Delhi to Agra

Travel to Agra and visit the Taj Mahal, an architectural masterpiece known for its symmetry and intricate craftsmanship. Continue to Agra Fort, where Mughal design and artistry are showcased in grand palaces and courtyards. You will also learn about pietra dura marble inlay work, a decorative technique that mirrors the precision and artistry found in textile design.
Day 4 Agra to Jaipur

Journey to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a beautifully preserved Mughal city. Walk through its courtyards and palaces, gaining insight into imperial life. Continue to Jaipur, the Pink City, known for its vibrant culture and strong craft traditions. Evening at leisure to explore or relax.
Day 5 Jaipur Textile Experience

Visit the Anokhi Textile Museum, dedicated to preserving India’s block printing heritage. Continue to Sanganer village, where you will participate in a hands-on block printing workshop. Learn traditional techniques, understand natural dyes and create your own printed fabric. This is a defining experience of the journey, offering direct engagement with skilled artisans.
Day 6 Jaipur Cultural Experience

Explore Jaipur’s architectural landmarks including Amber Fort and the City Palace. Wander through local markets filled with textiles, jewellery and handcrafted goods. In the evening, enjoy a cooking experience with a local family, offering a deeper cultural connection beyond the craft traditions explored throughout the day.
Day 7 Jaipur to Bikaner (Raisar Village)

Travel to Bikaner and visit Raisar village, where traditional weaving techniques are still practised. Meet local artisans and observe the creation of rugs and woven textiles. This rural experience provides a genuine insight into everyday craftsmanship and community life in Rajasthan.
Day 8 Bikaner to Pokhran

Continue to Pokhran, a region known for its distinctive Pattu weaving. Visit local artisans and learn about this traditional handloom technique used to create shawls and blankets. You will also enjoy a hands-on pottery session, adding another dimension to your understanding of regional craft practices.
Day 9 Pokhran to Barmer

Arrive in Barmer, one of Rajasthan’s most significant textile hubs. Engage with artisans practising Ajrakh block printing, bandhani tie-dye, embroidery and dabu resist printing. Observe the intricate processes involved and learn how these techniques have been preserved through generations. This day offers one of the most comprehensive textile experiences of the journey.
Day 10 Barmer to Jodhpur

Travel to Jodhpur and explore its vibrant textile scene. Visit workshops specialising in tie and dye techniques and browse local markets showcasing handcrafted fabrics and garments. The city’s energy and colour provide a dynamic backdrop to its long-standing craft traditions.
Day 11 Jodhpur to Udaipur

Journey through scenic countryside to Udaipur, a city known for its lakes, palaces and artistic heritage. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxed evening by Lake Pichola, reflecting on the experiences gathered so far.
Day 12 Udaipur Cultural Experience

Explore the City Palace and its intricate interiors before enjoying a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Participate in cultural experiences such as turban tying and henna, offering insight into traditional attire and adornment closely linked to India’s textile identity. This day blends heritage, artistry and relaxation.
Day 13 Udaipur to Delhi & Departure
