Day 1 Take Off
Depart Australia on your international flight to begin your journey. Travellers departing from other locations can also be accommodated on request. Please contact us to arrange personalised flight options and travel arrangements tailored to your departure city and preferences.
Day 2 Reykjavik
Arrive in Reykjavik, Iceland’s vibrant capital. Self-transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time exploring the city’s cafés, cuisine, and museums celebrating Viking heritage. You may also join optional experiences such as the Lava Show or the immersive Walk with a Viking Tour. Overnight in Reykjavik.
Optional Tour 1: Lava Show Experience

Day 3 Reykjavik - Snaefellsnes Peninsula

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and set out on a full-day journey to the stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where dramatic landscapes divide Iceland’s west coast into two sweeping bays. Explore the volcanic region of Mýrar, including the impressive Eldborg crater, before travelling past charming fishing villages such as Grundarfjörður, Ólafsvík, Rif, and Hellissandur.
Continue through Snæfellsjökull National Park, stopping at iconic Kirkjufell and nearby Kirkjufellsfoss, famous from Game of Thrones. Walk along the black pebble beach at Djúpalónssandur, then circle the peninsula beneath Snæfellsjökull, the setting for Jules Verne’s novel.
Visit the seabird cliffs of Þúfubjarg, the coastal villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, and the picturesque Búðir. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Borgarnes.
Day 4 Borgarfjörður - Snaefellsnes Peninsula
After breakfast, set out to explore the Borgarfjörður region. Visit Deildartunguhver, Iceland’s most powerful hot spring, before continuing to historic Reykholt, once home to medieval scholar Snorri Sturluson.
Admire the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls, then return to Borgarnes to visit the Settlement Center, showcasing Iceland’s early history and the saga hero Egil Skalla-Grímsson.
Continue along the scenic Hvalfjörður (weather permitting) to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO-listed site of Iceland’s ancient parliament and dramatic tectonic rift valley. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Selfoss.
Day 5 Snaefellsnes - South Shore

After breakfast, set out on a full-day journey along Iceland’s spectacular South Shore. Visit Seljalandsfoss, a stunning 60-metre waterfall cascading from the Seljalands River, before continuing to the Skógar Museum.
Drive past the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, stopping at Sólheimajökull to admire the dramatic ice formations and lagoon from a viewpoint. Continue to Reynisdrangar, famous for its striking coastal scenery, before visiting Vík on the iconic black sand beach. Overnight on the South Shore.
Day 6 South Shore - Golden Circle - Reykjavík

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion along Iceland’s famous Golden Circle. Discover geothermal wonders at Geysir and watch Strokkur erupt every few minutes. Continue to the spectacular Gullfoss, one of the country’s most iconic waterfalls.
You may also choose to relax at the Secret Lagoon* before returning for an overnight stay in Reykjavík.
Optional Tour: Visit to Secret Lagoon
Enjoy an authentic Icelandic experience with a relaxing soak in the warm, sulfur-rich waters of the Secret Lagoon, Iceland’s oldest swimming pool, dating back to 1891. Naturally heated by nearby hot springs, the lagoon is continuously refreshed and maintained at a soothing temperature of around 40°C year-round.
The water flows directly from surrounding geothermal sources, including Vaðmálahver, Básahver, and Litli Geysir, offering a calming and rejuvenating bathing experience.
Guests who prefer not to bathe will visit Skálholt, one of Iceland’s most important cultural and religious centres, once an episcopal seat and home to the country’s first official school.
Day 7 Reykjavík - Blue Lagoon - Reykjavík

After breakfast, travel to the iconic Blue Lagoon. Choose to bathe in its mineral-rich, milky-blue waters (additional fees) or enjoy a scenic walk along the surrounding paths. In the evening, you may opt for a Northern Lights experience by boat or bus. Overnight stay in Reykjavík.
Optional Tour 1: Swim in the Blue Lagoon
Set amid a dramatic lava field, the Blue Lagoon invites you to unwind in its milky-blue, mineral-rich waters, renowned for their skin-healing algae. Enjoy the in-water bar with a complimentary first drink, apply a silica mud mask at the Mask Bar, or relax in the saunas and steam rooms for a truly rejuvenating experience.
Optional Tour 2: Northern Lights Boat Tour
Embark on our Northern Lights Boat Tour for a magical escape from city lights. From September to April, witness the aurora dancing across the starry sky above Faxaflói Bay. Stay warm in heated indoor lounges, enjoy the onboard café and 360° viewing decks, and let expert guides share insights and capture memorable photos of this unforgettable experience.
Optional Tour 3: Northern Lights Bus Tour
Witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights as they dance across Iceland’s night sky. The experience includes a visit to the Aurora Centre in Reykjavík. Expert guides maximize your chances of sightings, and if the lights don’t appear, enjoy free retries—making this truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Day 8 Farewell Reykjavík
After breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to farewell the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland. At the scheduled time, self-transfer to the airport for your return flight to Australia. Arrive home and conclude your unforgettable Icelandic journey.
