Itinerary

Depart Australia on an  international flight. Travellers departing from other locations can be accommodated on request. Please contact us for personalised arrangements.

Arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to unwind after your flight or begin exploring this historic city at your own pace. Wander through Plaka, the city’s oldest quarter, nestled beneath the iconic Acropolis, where traditional streets, cafés and local character bring old Athens to life. Alternatively, enjoy shopping along Ermou, Kolonaki and Voukourestiou streets, known for boutiques and lively atmosphere. Overnight stay in Athens.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Athens, including the iconic Acropolis and the impressive Acropolis Museum.

Begin in the city centre at Syntagma Square, viewing the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. En route to the Acropolis, pass Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, with a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.

Explore the Acropolis’ Golden Age masterpieces: the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and the magnificent Parthenon. Continue to the Acropolis Museum to admire outstanding classical sculptures and artefacts. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Delphi, travelling via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus.

On arrival, explore the 4th-century BC archaeological site of Delphi, home to the sanctuaries of Apollo and Athena Pronaia, along with the ancient stadium and theatre. Continue to Kalambaka, passing charming towns of Central Greece. Dinner and overnight stay in Kalambaka.

Please note: The Delphi site has uneven terrain, stairs and steep paths; comfortable shoes, sunscreen and a hat are recommended.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today visit the breathtaking rock formations of Meteora, a truly unique landscape crowned by centuries-old monasteries perched dramatically atop towering cliffs, suspended between sky and earth. This UNESCO-listed site offers an unforgettable blend of natural beauty, history and spirituality.

In the afternoon, return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae, with a short stop to view the Leonidas Monument. Arrive in Athens early evening and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Dubrovnik. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and settle in. Located in southern Croatia overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is celebrated for its magnificent Old Town Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its historic architecture, lively cafés and excellent dining scene.

Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, wandering atmospheric stone alleyways and soaking in sweeping coastal views. Fans may recognise settings from the hit series Game of Thrones. Dinner and overnight stay in Dubrovnik.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a remarkably preserved medieval city completed in the 13th century. Walk along the ancient ramparts that encircle the historic centre, entering through one of its landmark gates. Cross the stone bridge watched over by Saint Blaise and stroll along the polished limestone Stradun promenade.

Discover key landmarks including St. Blaise Church, the Renaissance Sponza Palace, and the Gothic Rector’s Palace. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore at your leisure. Overnight stay in Dubrovnik.

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart Dubrovnik this morning and travel to Split, Croatia’s third-largest city, set along the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea. A highly sought-after coastal destination, Split spreads across a central peninsula and its surrounding areas.

After checking in to your hotel, enjoy a guided walking tour of Split Old Town, including the impressive remains of Diocletian’s Palace, built in the 4th century by the Roman emperor Diocletian. The remainder of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Overnight stay in Split.

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue your Croatian journey with a visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its exceptional natural beauty. Home to 16 cascading lakes, this pristine landscape offers some of the country’s most breathtaking scenery. Accompanied by an expert guide, walk through ancient forests and follow wooden pathways across Gornja Jezera, before visiting the striking Lower Lakes. Enjoy a 3–4 hour exploration of the park’s trails and viewpoints.

Later, continue to Opatija, renowned for its elegant Habsburg-era villas and seaside promenades. Spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Opatija.

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a guided city tour of Opatija, discovering its refined history and aristocratic heritage. Set on Kvarner Bay, Opatija was a favourite spa retreat of the Habsburgs and European elites, including Gustav Mahler, Anton Chekhov and Isadora Duncan.

Stroll through Angiolina Park, filled with exotic plants, and along the elegant Lungomare Promenade, lined with charming Austro-Hungarian villas. After the tour, enjoy free time at leisure—relax on the beaches or browse for souvenirs. Overnight stay in Opatija.

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy leisure time in Opatija, explore the Croatian Museum of Tourism, savour Mediterranean cuisine, or join an optional excursion to Istrian Peninsula and the Pula Arena.

Discover the highlights of the Istrian Peninsula, visiting the 2,000-year-old Pula Arena. Continue to Rovinj for free time before enjoying truffle tasting in Motovun.

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to Zagreb, Croatia’s vibrant capital rich in culture and history. On arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour showcasing the city’s highlights. In the medieval Upper Town, visit St. Mark’s Church, renowned for its colourful tiled roof, along with the Parliament Building, Government Palace and other historic landmarks.

The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore independently. Take time to wander along lively Tkalčićeva Street, lined with cafés and perfect for soaking up the city’s atmosphere. Overnight stay in Zagreb.

After a final breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the scheduled time for your return flight to Australia. Arrive home and conclude your journey.
